Presenting the Cine-Tranz transfer system

We have had many requests from people wanting to perform their own film to DVD transfers to save a few dollars and to be able to perform their own cutting, trimming and creative editing. After a great deal of research and development looking at many of the 1980’s style transfer boxes we came up with the Cine-Tranz.

The Cine-Tranz is a simple device that utilizes very high quality components to achieve semi-professional results. While not quite delivering the high quality of our professional optical system, the Cine-Tranz offers exceptional results from a screen type system.

Used in conjunction with your own projector and camera, the Cine-Tranz reflects the projected image onto a very fine grained screen by way of a face coated mirror set at 45 degrees. The resulting displayed image can then be captured by your digital camera. Literally hundreds of screen materials were tested before we made our final selection due to its special defusing properties. A screen with little or no grain allowed too much light to penetrate causing a central hotspot with darker outer perimeters. Materials that were too opaque with nominal grain structure gave a coarse image reproduction with blurred edges.

Also the use of an optical quality face coated mirror provides a perfect reflection without the ghosting commonly displayed with domestic rear coated mirrors. The combination of top quality components makes the Cine-Tranz superior to any of the aging transfer boxes commonly sold on the internet.

Included in this package is a DVD tutorial covering all the information needed to setup your equipment and create a successful film transfer. It covers many helpful hints and technical information regarding flicker removal and camera colour correction to help you retain the original film colour's.
