Standard pricing is $0.35 per foot for all 8mm and 16mm formats and $0.39 per foot for 9.5mm formats, with a minimum order being 400ft of film. All set-up costs, basic editing and background music are included in this price. For film conversions under 300ft a $40.00 setup surcharge will apply to cover the DVD authoring process that takes longer to perform than the actual digital capture of just a few small reels. The surcharge is removed on orders of 350ft or more. Polavision conversion will cost a little extra due to the film needing to be removed from the cassette prior to transfer.
If you would like to view your 8mm films before committing to having them transferred to DVD we have a dual Super 8mm/Standard 8mm projector available for hire. Also available is a 35mm slide scanner for those wanting to save money by scanning their own slides.
If you are on a tight budget and want to perform your own post editing we can supply the converted film in raw AVI format. This pricing is for capture only and excludes our cleaning process, editing, colour correction, music track and is not burned to DVD. The captured files will be copied to a USB drive that you provide and is the most cost effective way to backup your film collection. Budget price is just $0.20 per foot for all formats except 9.5mm film. Editing can then be performed with nearly any editing software package.
